The Source for Women is a 501c(3) non-profit holistic reproductive health center with three Houston area health locations. Since 1982, we have provided cost-free pregnancy support and preventative services to meet the needs of women and families in the greater Houston area.

What services do you offer and how much do you charge clients?

We offer a wide range of services to meet needs of the body, mind, and spirit, and all of our services are cost free.

Medical services include pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, well woman exams, and STD testing and treatment. In addition, we offer counseling (with licensed professional counselors), relationship and lifestyle education, spiritual mentoring (see below), and material assistance. For services outside of our direct scope, we work with a team of partners and community organizations to ensure that every client has the resources to meet all of her needs.

How do you ensure integrity?

We have developed a statement of faith, a statement of principle, and a code of conduct which we require all of our staff and volunteers to sign. We operate all of our centers in accordance with these values, and our board helps to provide oversight and accountability for our CEO and other senior staff members.

I want to host a ministry brief in my community. What do I need to do?

If you are interested in hosting a ministry brief for your friends or community, please contact development@thesourceforwomen.org to discuss.

How do you share the gospel with your clients?

Our holistic approach means that we offer services to meet all of our clients’ needs—body, mind, and spirit. We are always available to pray with a woman or her family.

Specifically, we offer all of our clients the opportunity for a spiritual discussion, and if they agree (which many of them do), our spiritual mentors will meet with them to pray and share the gospel. At further appointments, many of these clients continue to meet with a spiritual mentor for ongoing discipleship. Beyond this, we offer Bibles to our clients and encourage them to become regular attendees of a church or Bible study group.

How do I make a prayer request?

We at The Source for Women believe in the power of prayer, and we make a point to pray for each and every prayer request sent to us. If you wish to request prayer from us, share praise or thanksgiving, or join with us in praying for others, please contact our Intercessory Team.

If I have any questions or concerns, who do I contact?
